Dentists Praise St. Jude’s "Water Only" Lunchbox Policy

Local dental health workers are publicly praising St. Jude’s Primary School for implementing their strict "Water Only" policy for packed lunches this term, and are encouraging other local schools to follow suit.

"We are currently seeing a worrying rise in tooth decay among under-eights in the Stoneleigh area," explains Dental Nurse, Chloe Davies. "Many parents don't realise that supposedly 'healthy' fruit juices or smoothies packed in lunchboxes contain huge amounts of free sugars that sit on children's teeth all afternoon. St. Jude’s initiative is a fantastic step forward for local public health. If your child is struggling with the switch, try infusing their water flask with a few slices of fresh cucumber or strawberries from the local market."
